Not so Easter socks
It’s time for another pair of socks which combines stranded colorwork on the calf and fun texture on the rest of the sock. This time I’ve also added a ruffle cuff.
Calf section has a cute easter (or not!) motif. There’s two to choose from - carrots and bunnies - because socks are more fun as siblings and not twins. I’ve used Angora yarn to make my bunnies more fluffy. I recommended using ladderback jacquard technique for bunnies as they feature some longer floats (suggested placement is noted in the chart).
The rest of the sock features an easily memorizable lace pattern.
There are two colorwork charts (right and left sock) and one texture chart (lace) in the pattern. I’ve also added a video tutorial for the ruffle portion of the cuff - it’s easier than you think!
The socks are one size only but can be adapted (notes in the pattern) for a bigger or smaller size.
I used about 25 grams of the main color yarn for one sock.
This pattern is more like a general guideline on making socks but don’t hesitate to ask if you have some problems. I’ll be happy to help. You can also tag me on instagram if you decide to share your finished socks, I’d love to see them! I’m @crochetedbybogusia (and yes, my main thing is crocheting, don’t be alarmed!).
Please note that this pattern has not been tested. If you notice any errors, please let me know and I’ll fix them.
