Enjoy making a pair of warm and cosy firework inspired November socks with this easy to follow detailed pattern.

A great Stash buster! Choose any 4ply/fingering weight or DK weight yarn from your stash in two colours, one dark and one light to achieve a bright contrast.

Have fun knitting in the round with circular needles or DPN’s for some vanilla knitting together with an easy colour work pattern challenge.

Method and Materials

The sock is knit in the round primarily only on the knit side, apart from at the heel flap where there are some knits and purls on both sides of the work.

The colour work pattern is charted with colours making it easy to follow and navigate!

You can use variegated yarns or solids. The background dark yarn is recommended to be a sock yarn but the contrast yarn can be any wool, cashmere or alpaca yarn. I used sock yarns for both but the pattern is not in a hard wearing area hence scraps from your stash can be used.

Yarn A. Dark yarn, variegated or plain: 100 grams
Yarn B. Bright, light yarn, variegated or plain: 25-30 grams
Amounts may be slightly different depending on yardage. You may have left overs etc.

Materials needed:

4ply, fingering weight or DK yarn as detailed above.
2.50- 2.75 circular sock needles or DPN’s
Darning needle.
