Some day my prince will come … oh, here he is! You can knit your own Prince Charming with this pattern.

THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the doll, 15 photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 6 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat on straight knitting needles, apart from the yellow hat decorations which are single crochet chains. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. For colour-work, you will need to know how to knit stripes (i.e. change colour at the end of a row). This pattern incorporates a three-needle join, and step by step instructions with photos are included.

  • Three straight 3.5mm knitting needles (US 4)
  • A 3.5mm crochet hook to decorate the hat (US E/4)
  • DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 50g in each colour
  • Toy filling
  • Small buttons to decorate
