The thought process behind creating this pattern was to make it reminiscent of an old-fashioned Christmas tree, decorated simply and sweetly with hand-strung strands of cranberries and popcorn; a throwback to simpler, less hurried, less frenzied times. The traditional Christmas colors give it a very classic holiday look, and the construction imparts cozy warmth (no holes!) and fantastic texture. Most stitches used are basic and beginner friendly, and while berries and bobbles aren’t necessarily basic stitches they are still simple enough that it’s not a big deal for a crochet newbie to work them. Links for tutorials are included on the pattern for visual learners or in case you might need clarification or a little extra help.
