Oakmont Cowl
The Oakmont Cowl is inspired by the other various Oakmont patterns: Sweater Coat, Oakmonter Pullover + Oakmont Hats. The sample cowl photographed was made from leftover yarn from the sweaters + hats!

Construction Overview
The cowl is worked in the round after casting on provisionally directly onto an extra circular cable. After knitting the long tube, the two ends are sewn together (grafted). The stitch patterns featured in the other Oakmont designs have all been converted to working in the round.

Pattern Overview
• Worked on circular needles, knit in the rnd.
• The pattern is written for sport/dk weight yarn.
• Includes measurements {after blocking} for each individual section in case you alter the pattern.
• Mosaic knitting {Complete instructions for Mosaic Knitting are included}. Also included is an example chart, labeled in detail {anatomy of a mosaic knitting chart}.
• 4 main stitches are used: knit stitch + slip stitch, purling + yarn overs!
• 6 charts are used in the knitting of the pattern sections. Both written and charted instructions are included.
• The pattern can be easily adjusted to use with other yarn weights.

Size {after blocking}
