This design is inspired by the changing of the seasons in the Pacific Northwest. The central leaf motifs reference a combination of several native trees as their leaves begin to turn and fall to the ground. The braided ribbing edge detail suggests the winding bare branches, while the bobbles represent the seeds of new beginnings.

The OakshireCowl is a beautiful colorwork and texture design, which is knit in the round using circular needles, from the bottom up. Knit using two contrasting colors of Worsted weight yarn, this pattern uses mostly knit and purl stitches to create squishy textural borders around a central colorwork band, and provides the perfect mix of texture and colorwork!
