When the rain meets the ocean and they become as one again ………

Ocean Rain is knit in two pieces. You knit one 28 row border piece and leave these stitches live on one needle. You then knit an identical border followed by the main stitch pattern and again leave the stitches live on the needle. Both knit pieces are then joined together in a 3 needle bind off.

You can adjust the length to your desired size.

The original sample was made using 2 x 50g cakes of Holst Garn “Coast” in Kingfisher - 72gms were required. Finished measurements after blocking are: Width: 7” / 18 cm Length: 76” / 193 cm

The pattern now includes a DK weight version!

The DK sample is knit in Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend using 411 m/ 450 yds / 150 g. Gauge is 22sts x 28 rows in stocking stitch on 4mm (US 6) needles. Finished measurements after blocking are: Width 11” / 28 cm Length: 52” / 136 cm

All my patterns come with links to my mini 1 minute video tutorials of all the stitches and techniques used in each pattern - no more having to Google or look your reference books up while thinking ‘now how do I do that stitch/technique again?’ It’s a wee time saver!
