Intermediate Tunisian Crochet
Materials:
Size US 8 (5.0 mm) Tunisian hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn Approx. 460 yds. Pictured: Jayd – Ocean Tide
Gauge: 18 sts = 4”
Finished Size: 32” x 11”
Pattern Notes:

Cowl is crocheted flat and sewn together at back with mattress stitch. You can make yours longer/shorter by adding or decreasing rows and wider or narrower by increasing or decreasing the beginning chain.

Tunisian crochet requires you to work each row in two passes; on the first pass, you loop the yarn onto the hook and then on the second pass you loop it back off again. It is always worked on the right side of the fabric so you will never turn your work.

For this pattern you will need to be familiar with the following Tunisian stitches and abbreviations:

Tss: Tunisian Simple Stitch
Tks: Tunisian Knit Stitch
Tps: Tunisian Purl Stitch
Tunisian Slip Stitch
Tunisian Smock Stitch
Fp: Forward Pass
Rp: Return Pass
YO: Yarn Over
