This versatile stitch pattern combines the timeless comfort of garter stitch with a gentle step design that creates subtle texture and visual interest. Simple enough for beginners, yet engaging for experienced knitters, this pattern works beautifully for scarves, but could be enlarged to create a lovely shawl as well. The mohair silk blend gives this scarf amazing softness and drape you will love!

This scarf was knit by holding TWO strands of lace and ONE strand of mohair together throughout.

You could also knit using ONE strand of fingering and ONE strand of mohair if you prefer.
