The ocean waves sock is worked top down with a ribbed cuff and following an easy lace pattern for which both charts and written directions are provided.

Sizing: three sizes using cast on of 56, 64, or 72 stitches.

A shadow wrap heel is used, though other heel techniques may be substituted.

The pattern is written for the Magic Loop technique of sock knitting but other techniques such as using DPNs, two circular needles, small 9” circulars, or flexi-needles may be used.

Pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner who can knit, purl, decrease with k2tog and ssk, increase with a yarn over, graft toes closed, and is comfortable with sock construction. This is not a general how-to-knit-socks pattern.
