The Oceanography KAL includes all four of the shawls in my Oceanography Collection

So, what are the choices?

All four shawls feature a reversible cable, garter stitch, star cluster stitch, and English mesh lace stitch. They are all knit in one piece with no seaming or picking up stitches (two of my least favorite things!).

High Tide: A triangular shawl in 790 yards of fingering weight, 24” x 65”, shown here using Madelinetosh Sock in Flashdance.

Rip Tide: An asymmetrical skinny triangle in fingering weight (400 yards MC and 180 yards CC), 20” x 76”, shown here using Malabrigo Yarn Sock in Zarzamora and Cote d’Azure.

Low Tide: A crescent shawl with two size options using 400 or 800 yards of fingering weight, 9” x 58” or 15” x 87”, shown here using Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Spectrum (small) and Happy Fuzzy Yarn Tencel Fingering in Seaglass (large).

Frozen Ocean: A warm and cozy triangular shawl using 950 yards of worsted weight, 54” x 96”, shown here in Malabrigo Rios in Winter Lake.

How do I participate?
Purchase one of the four shawl patterns (or buy them all- never enough shawls!) and then join my group and check in with the KAL thread or like my Facebook page and follow along there (or do both!).

The KAL will start on January 1st, so hopefully all your holiday knitting is finished and you can relax, enjoying the chance to knit just for fun again!
