The hearts and flouncy garden trellis motif of this hat
have an “Alice in Wonderland” quality to them.
Would the Queen of Hearts approve of this rich red
hand-dyed yarn? Since she’s the villain, maybe not.
Maybe she’d call out her famous line: “Off with their
heads!”

The finished hat is 17½ (19¾, 21¾, 24)”/ 44.5 (50, 55,
61)cm around and 9¾ (10, 10½, 10¾ )”/ 25 (25.5, 27,
27.5)cm deep. To fit with approximately 2”/5cm

Polka Dot Sheep Whitefish Worsted, 100%
Superwash Merino Wool, 218y/199m; 100g/3.5 oz. 1
skein of Ronan (MC) and a ½ skein of Beargrass (CC1).

US 7 (4.5mm) 16”/40cm circular and double pointed
needles or needle size necessary to obtain gauge. US
6 (4mm) 16”/40cm circular, or size smaller than
gauge needle; stitch marker; tapestry needle,
pompom maker.
