This pattern allows you to create a reversible hat with the letter O. I intended it for my friends and family who are Ohio State Buckeye fans.

However, you could modify the colors/letter chart for Oklahoma, or get creative and make one for a high school using a different letter/colors.

I used a circular size 8 needle only, just switching to magic loop as I closed the top. You‘ll use only about half of the yarn from each skein, so I was able to make two hats with two skeins.

This pattern is written for anyone, even if you’ve never double knit. It includes pictures of how to change colors in your knitting as well as a written description of the technique, a chart and instructions completely written out, for those knitters who have never read a chart or just prefer reading the description.
