Öisin
Öisin is a wide and shallow triangular shawl worked from the top down. This textured shawl features star- and diamond-shaped motifs worked in 1-over-1 stitch Honeycomb Cable pattern and chevron lines that are worked using twisted stitches technique. The shawl begins with a tab cast-on and the edge is finished with an i-cord bind-off.
The pattern includes written instructions and charts.
1/1 (1-over-1 st) cable crosses can be worked without a cable needle.
See, for example, a method explained here by Kate Atherley (under the headline Two-Stitch Cables): Techniques in Depth: Cabling Without a Cable Needle – Modern Daily Knitting
Note: This pattern has not been tech edited or test knitted.
