The inspiration for this sweater comes from the passerine birds of the old world, that still ~ even now ~ grace our earth. I was inspired in particular by the beautifully woven nest of a sparrow in our garden.

Old World is an oversized, deep-yoked pullover worked seamlessly from the top down. Short rows are added below the neck ribbing for a better fitting garment. The sweater features all-over stranded patterning, which is charted only.

Old World is graded for 6 free sizes, accommodating the pattern repeat. The sweater is designed to be worn with 10 to 14” / 25.5 to 35.5 cm of positive ease.
(Sweater shown in Size 2 with just over 10” / 26cm of positive ease)
