Cables, chevrons and waves of colour all blend together to create a poncho so rich looking that I knew it had to be called Opulence.

Measurements: After blocking: two rectangles approx. 22” (55.8 cm) x 36.5” (92.7 cm),
depth of 28” (71 cm) long from neck opening to bottom tip.
Gauge: Before blocking: approx. 24 stitches x 31 rows in 4” (10 cm) square of garter stitch on
5 mm/US 8 needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarns used:
Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash. 100% Wool. Worsted (9 wpi).
201 meters (220 yards), 100 grams (3.53 ounces).
Colour #849 Dark Aqua.
2 skeins. (38 grams leftover).

Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Wave. 100% Wool. Worsted (9 wpi).
201 meters (220 yards), 100 grams (3.53 ounces).
Colour #105 Blue Green.
5 skeins. (17 grams leftover).

Needles and supplies:
5 mm/US 8 circular needles 60 cm/24” long. (For the cable sections).
4.5 mm/US 7 circular needles 60 cm/24” long. (For the chevrons).
Cable needle.
Tapestry needle.
9 stitch markers.
Extra needle for three needle bind off.
