They were associated with Artemis, goddess of the hunt (amongst other things), as she tended to favour mountains and rocky precipes’ for her hunting grounds. This beanie is knitted in the round, from the crown down, making it easy to knit to the perfect length every time. Oread is designed specifically for Dye Happy Yarn’s Strength, a beautifully squishy full DK yarn that is hand dyed in Aotearoa/New Zealand from locally grown and milled wool.
