Origan is my take on the basic top down triangle shawl. When I held Wool and Nature’s madder dyed DK weight yarn in my hands, I immediately saw a cozy triangle shawl to wear through the cold days and nights. I have found that the basic hand knits are my most worn. The hand knits that are pleasant and easy to make are easy to wear and also hold the same comfort as they did to create. I hope this hand knit is both pleasant for you to knit and wear.

Pattern Notes:
Origan starts with a Garter Tab Cast-on. It is then worked back and forth in stockinette stitch, increasing on the wingspan border stitches and in the shawl center to create a triangle. The border stitches are increased at a higher rate than the center to make the wingspan grow slightly larger than the center point of the shawl. After the stockinette shawl body is worked, the border is created using garter stitch. Finally, Origan is bound off with a stretchy bind off of your choice.

Difficulty Level: Beginner. Skills needed are: Garter Tab Cast-on and basic increases.
