Orna-mitts is a collection of 11 ball ornaments based on the mitten designs I published in 2023. The ornament is an ideal project for last minute gifts that can be made with yarn leftovers from bigger projects.

erratum: ornament # 11 is missing an M (make 1) symbol in round 13, stitches 2, 16, 18, 32, 34, 48, 50 and 64.

Materials
• US Size 1 (2.5mm) set of 5 dpns, tapestry needle
• Any fingering or light fingering yarn. For one ornament: about 50-55 yards (46-50m)
• Polyfill stuffing (polyester fiber fill)

Gauge
8 stitches x 10 rows (knitting in the round) in 1” x 1” after blocking. Exact gauge is not important.

Notes
1. Size: With recommended yarn, needles, and gauge the ornament will be about 9 ½“(24 cm) in circumference after stuffing. Larger needles and thicker yarn will produce a larger ornament.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Catch longer float using preferred method. Catching floats is not essential for this project but it will help maintain the tension. Make sure to secure any loose yarn ends inside the ornament. Weaving in the ends is not needed.
