Do you want to stay trendy? Poufs are the “in” thing. It’s a fun way to add some spunky decor to your home. Make this owl pouf with a scarf in your favorite team colors or leave the scarf off all-together. This owl pouf makes a great decoration for your living room or for your kid’s room. Put your feet up on it or use it for extra seating. With these detailed instructions, even those with little crochet experience can find success creating their own masterpieces!

-The pouf stands 18” tall & 16” wide.
-Skills: chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch, SC decrease, HDC decrease, back post single crochet & basic sewing
-Written in US Terms
-Skill Level: Easy
-PDF format available for instant download
-9 pages long

-Hooks: You will need a 6.5 mm (K) & 5.5 mm (I) hook.
-Yarn: The recommended yarn is super bulky (cat. 6). I use Heartland Thick and Quick (1250 yards) in Katmai. You can use any white yarn in worsted weight and will need 200 yards for this. You will also need a small amount of worsted weight yarn in gray & yellow. If you choose to make the scarf you will need 300 yards of worsted weight yarn for the main color and 100 yards for the accent color. You are welcome to use any brand of yarn but if you’d like your pouf to turn out the same as mine, please be sure to check your gauge first! For a tip on how to save time when checking your gauge, check out my blog post entitled “Becoming a Master Gauge Checker: It’s a stinky job, but somebody’s gotta do it…”
-Pins to hold pieces in place
-Polyester fiberfill & tapestry needle with large eye. (There are many different things you can use to stuff your pouf besides fiberfil. Some suggestions are pillows, old towels, blankets, sheets, clothes, foam pieces or plastic bags.)
