I could call this “spawn of owlie cowl,” i suppose!

pattern includes instructions for 2 styles of mittens, a pointy pair and a more rounded pair. mittens are fair isle, knit in the round.

errata: 2nd increase instructions (at base of mitten) should read:
“ Using color 1, k1, inc1, work to one st before marker, inc 1, k1. slip marker, repeat for back of mitten ( 4 increases, a total of 84 stitches.)”

Supplies:
2 sets of double pointed needles- one size 0 and one size 2. some stitch markers, a stitch holder or some scrap yarn, and a needle to weave in ends. 2 balls of knitpicks palette yarn (one of each color), and a small quantity of a third, contrasting color. You could substitute about 500 yards of any fingering weight yarn.

You will need the following skills:
cast on, knit, purl, knit in the round, knit with 2 colors, increase, decrease, kitchener stitch.
