This pattern is named after a species of owl which can be seen in Central Europe during winter months - the long-eared owl. It has got characteristic ear-tufts, which makes the owl appear larger. It is most easily seen
when perched in a tree during the day. But generally it is very difficult to see in nature as it remains more hidden than other owl species.

Two sizes are given: a smaller version is around 50 cm in diameter, so it will fit for a kid or an adult (depending on the head size). The larger version is 56 cm in diameter and has a slightly different shape, more like a tam. So it will b better suited for a woman.
