I had picked up this lovely single skein of Ancient Arts Yarn many moons ago at a fiber festival in Olds, AB. It was my first time attending such an event and my gosh, was it ever exciting! The thrill of the hunt through booths of talented vendors (Reality - I was overwhelmed by all the options and my introvert anxious brain went into overload).

I found this West Coast Waterfall colorway so special that I didn’t want to pair it up with another colorway. It was much too pretty on its own! So it was necessary to create a design that would work with both a single skein along with a variegated yarn. Having larger eyelets, the Oxford shawl pattern helped to break up the busy colors in the yarn while still allowing the gorgeousness to shine through!

Oxford is a dignified triangular-shaped one-to-three skein shawl that is worked on the bias. The lace sections and garter switch up often enough, creating a knit that never becomes tedious to work on.

Worked flat, Oxford contains written directions and charts. A handy-dandy progress tracker is included to help you with your rows and stitch counts. Yardage for each section is given should you wish to turn this into a scrappy project!
