This cute pixie-style bonnet is adorned with small bobbles (“pampula” in Finnish). The bonnet is knitted flat starting from the forehead towards the back. The back of the head is shaped with short rows, then the work is folded in half and seamed up the back with Kitchener stitch. The pattern comes in five sizes from newborn to 12-18 months.

You will need 1–2 skeins (50 g) of DK weight yarn, for example Drops Merino Extra Fine, Sandnes Merinoull or Novita Baby Wool. 1 skein (50 g) is enough for all but the two biggest sizes, which may need another skein depending on the yardage of your yarn. I recommend using merino wool yarn as it is gentle for baby skin and its texture makes the bobble stitch pop better (compared to alpaca wool for example).
