Inspired by a crochet version of this on Reddit.

This pattern will require: 3 skeins of Bernat Blanket Vintage White, and less than one skein each of Bernat Blanket Bubbly Blue, Race Car Red, and Licorice.

This blanket has a garter stitch edge all the way around to prevent it from curling, and the main body is stockinette.

GAUGE IS NOT IMPORTANT.

I used size 11 60” circular needles and knit it flat. I have attached a chart, and all written directions are below.

You will cast on 90 stitches and knit 7 rows before beginning stockinette stitch.
The first five stitches and last five stitches will always be knit for that garter stitch edge. The last 7 rows are also knit, and the final row will knit over the red color with white so the bind off will be all white instead of having red showing.
You simply carry the red up the back, and I cut short lengths of black yarn for the holes so as not to have to juggle three balls of yarn. You carry the black yarn vertically as well.
There are five rows of white between each blue line. If you hate purling, you can knit the blue row since circular needles allow you to move your knitting in either direction!
