Parchment Shawl
The parchment shawl was inspired by hand-dyed yarn from Babble & Stitch by Veronic Sax for Chicago 2023 Yarn Crawl from Evanston Stitchworks. The yarn crawl’s theme was the public library system’s 150th anniversary. This shawl is a great beginner-friendly symmetrical triangle shawl that uses two skeins of worsted yarn.
Size: One size fits all
Needles: 7 US (4 mm) 36” or longer circular
Notions: 2 stitch markers, and yarn needle
Gauge: 20 sts over 4 inches (5 sts/inch) and 5 rows per inch
Yarn Requirements: 2 skeins (547 yards) Babble & Stitch Mikko Worsted Floof
or
Lace + DK held together 550 yards
Notes / Helpful Notes: I ended my shawl with a shorter section of twisted rib. Feel free to rearrange sections and design your own pattern. Make sure to be loose with your cast off otherwise the bottom edge will curl.
