The Patos Poncho is a top-down poncho featuring a wide neckline, decorative eyelet increases running down the center front and back, and finished off with a fun icord eyelet edge. There are two versions of the icord eyelet edge to choose from with video tutorials included.
The name is inspired by Patos Island in Washington’s San Juan Islands, one of my favorite places in the world. There’s something about standing at the edge of the island and taking in the ocean in every direction that captures the breezy, effortless feeling of this design.

The pattern is offered in 11 sizes, with each size individually charted and thoughtfully graded to provide 8-12” of positive ease at the chest across all sizes.

YARN
Choose a DK weight yarn, optionally held with a lace weight yarn. I’ve been able to meet gauge with a wide variety of yarns held with or without an additional lace weight yarn. I would recommend yarn blends with good drape like wool mixed with alpaca, silk, or bamboo.

The dusty pink sample uses a beautiful tonal DK sw merino yarn in the color First Kiss held with a variegated Suri lace weight yarn in the color Apple Strudel from Two Springs Fiber Arts.

The orange pink sample uses a variegated DK merino/silk/yak yarn in the color Peach Blossoms held with a solid Suri lace weight yarn in the color Strawberry Lemonade from Two Springs Fiber Arts.
