MATERIALS:

  • Yardage: This pattern uses less than 100 yards of WW4 yarn
  • This pattern was designed for using a WW4 yarn, however you can easily substitute a lighter weight yarn if you prefer using the following hook sizes for the weight of yarn you are wanting to use. o LW (lightweight) such as Mary Maxim or Caron Simply Soft or DK or if you are a tight crocheter, Use Size “J” (6.00 MM) hook o RHSS- WW4, Use size “I” (5.50 MM) hook
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • Hair tie for ponytail style hat (I use Goody Brand Ouchless hair ties)
  • Scissors

NOTES:

  1. This pattern is written in US terms
  2. This pattern was written for the right handed crocheter
  3. This pattern is written with the beginner in mind however I do recommend you are an intermediate crocheter unless you are familiar with the following stitches. (STITCHES INCLUDE: SC, DC, FPSC, BPSC, BPDC, FPDC, BO or the bobble stitch, increasing and decreasing stitches)
  4. Gauge: Using size “I” hook with WW4 yarn: 7 DC sts = 2”; 4 rows = 2”
  5. Chain 2’s count in end of row stitch count
  6. Numbers in parentheses at end of rounds are your stitch counts for each round
  7. Stitches in brackets followed by an X and a number means to repeat the stitches within the brackets that number of times
  8. Wash finished product in luke-warm or cold water and tumble dry on low heat or lay out flat to dry
