Peanut Raglan
The Peanut Raglan is knitted top down and in the round. The neckline is cast on in Italian cast on before continuing in a 1x1 rib. The yoke is then knitted in a stranded cable pattern while at the same time being increased for the raglan. There are charts for all sizes to make it easier to work the pattern in relation to the raglan increases and there is also an option to work short rows at the neck to make the neckline sit a little bit higher in the back than in the front.
The work is then separated and the sleeves are put on hold. Underarm sts are cast on in provisional cast on and the body is then knitted in the round, continuing the stranded cable pattern from the yoke, before ending with a ribbed hem and Italian bind off.
The sleeves are picked up from the held stitches and the provisional cast on and worked in the round, continuing the stranded cable pattern from the yoke, before ending with a ribbed edge.
The stranded cable pattern creates a relatively thick fabric, however, the thin yarn in cotton, viscose and linen makes sure it’s not too hot for those sunny summer days.
Measurements
Note! Due to the material and the stranded cable pattern, the fabric doesn’t have a lot of stretch. It’s recommended that your finished T-shirt is worn with 0-5 cm positive ease.
For reference: model is 93 cm around chest, 158 cm tall and wears size 3.
Red and white version is knitted in Tynn Line by Sandnes garn without neckline shaping.
