Where the romantic whimsy of Summer meets the coziness of a hand knitted sweater. The Peaseblossom Blouse offers a customizable silhouette, an adjustable waist, and both a sleeveless and long sleeved version.

Construction is from the center up, then from the center down, creating the peplum shape with the ease of a bottom-up garment. The shoulders are gently shaped with German short rows, then grafted at the top. A drawstring casing centers the piece at either the natural waist, or just below the bust, depending on the option you choose in the directions. The shoulders are drop style, and the sleeves are picked up from the armhole openings and worked in the round.
Every body is different and knit-worthy, the pattern contains instructions for optional bust darts, and a two page worksheet for optional drop shoulder adjustments to accommodate a larger bust to shoulder circumference ratio.

Unique finishing techniques include the drawstring casing and ties, and a crochet scalloped edging. The pattern includes links for working the crochet scallops as a new to crochet knitter.

My sample is knitted in Semilla Melange by BC Garn, a sport/light DK weight yarn, on size US 6/4 mm needles.

In the pattern photos both the sleeveless, and long sleeve versions are modeled. The waist height option in the modeled sample is the just below the bust option.
