Pecan Pie Sweater Pattern

A beautifully textured sweater with an all-over stitch pattern and a close-fitting neckline.
Its name comes from its resemblance to a pecan pie generously topped with pecans.
Delicate lace details hidden within the textured pattern add a special touch.

Difficulty
This pattern is on the more advanced side among patterned sweaters, as it involves working German short rows (wrap-and-turn) while following a detailed stitch chart.
It requires a good amount of focus and attention to the chart, so it may not be suitable for those who prefer simpler patterns.
That said, the joy of seeing the delicate Aran-style motifs emerge as you knit is immense, and the sense of accomplishment when you finish is even greater.

Construction
This is a fully patterned sweater with identical front and back panels.
You begin by working the back with German short rows while following a charted pattern. Then, the left and right shoulders are picked up and knit in pattern down to the underarms. From there, the body is joined and knit in one piece down to the hem.
The collar is then added, and sleeves are knit top-down with decreases.

This is a written pattern with stitch charts used for the patterned sections.

Gauge
20 sts × 35 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4” in double moss stitch on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles, after wet blocking.

In this pattern, you count vertically in cm rather than rows, so as long as the stitch gauge (20 sts) is correct, the row gauge is less important.

Pecan Pie Sweater のパターン

ピーカンナッツがたっぷりのったピーカンパイのような見た目から、この名前を付けました。
模様の中にちらりと入る透かし編みが、ポイントです。

難易度
模様編みをしながらジャーマンショートロウ（引き返し編み）をするため、模様編みのセーターの中でも難易度は高めです。
細かい編み図を追いながら編むスタイルのため、じっくりと図と向き合い、集中して取り組む場面が多く出てきます。苦手な方はご注意ください。

概要（ざっくりとした手順）
このセーターは、前後に同じ柄の入った、総柄のセーターです。
まず背中からジャーマンショートロウをしつつ編み図を追いながら模様編みで編み、次に左肩、右肩を拾って模様編みで編み、脇下まで進んだら合わせて1つの大きなパーツにして裾まで編みます。
襟を編み、減らし目をしながら袖を編んだら完成です。
