Penelope Shawl is a lovely crescent shawl knit in fingering weight yarn in two colours. It is worked top-down and the increases are added on both right and wrong sides. It is a perfect accessory to wear all year round.

Size: one size; measurements after blocking: approx. 180 cm/ 71” wide, 52 cm/ 20.5” long measured from center top;

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 10cm/ 4” in Stockinette stitch, measured flat after blocking; gauge is not crucial for this
project but it will affect the size and the yardage; make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project;

Yarn: approx. 420 m/ 460 yards of fingering yarn in CC1 and 384 m/ 420 yards of fingering yarn in CC2 that knits to gauge; sample shown was knit with: CC1: Fleece Artist Merino Slim 100% Merino; 400 meters (437 yards)/115g (4.06 oz) in Minegold colorway and CC2: Malabrigo Yarn Mechita 100% Merino Wool, 384 meters (420 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz) in Natural colorway;

Needles: 4 mm/ US6 circular needles with sharp tips 100 cm/ 40” long or needle size to obtain the gauge;

Other: tapestry needle to weave in ends, 2 stitch markers, one short DPN needle, crochet hooks (optional)
