This pattern was inspired by old time soda shops like the one my great-grandfather ran in his pharmacy. I remember walking down the aisles, looking at the small assortment of toys and dolls in among the other items, and ultimately ending up gazing at the CANDY! This cowl is a reminder of the sweet treats we find every once in a while when we’re wandering along happily!

The Penny Candy Cowl is knit in the round, and is begun and finished with corrugated ribbing. This pattern includes a chart and written instructions for the colorwork section. This cowl was desgined by Ladianne Henderson, co-owner of Cheers To Ewe! Yarn Shop. The pictured sample was knit using Hedgehog DK, with Pheasant as the main colorway, and Teacup as the contrasting colorway.
