The Penstemon Shawl is named after the resilient penstemon flower, which is native to the Pacific Northwest. This flower is also known as beardtongue and can grow straight from the basalt cliffs throughout the Cascade Range, blooming in clusters. The shawl is designed to pay tribute to the growth pattern of the flower, featuring a delicate lace pattern that resembles the blossoms arranged in a crescent shape.
