Inspired by the phases of the moon and all her subtle beauty, this easy and enjoyable pattern utilizes shadow knitting to create ‘hidden’ stripes within stripes! It’s truly the perfect vacation project.

With just knits, purls, yarn overs and some k3togs, this pattern is an excellent option for adventurous beginners and beyond. It’s knit from point to point, striping your two colors and alternating between rows of knits and purls.

Grab 2 skeins (400 yards each) of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors and a size 4 needle and off you go! You’ll have just enough yarn left over for tassels if that’s your style.
