We’ve all got that single skein of variegated worsted hanging out in our stash, begging to be used. This hat pattern was born out of a desire to finally use that yarn!

The Crystalline hat is the perfect pattern for tonal, speckled OR variegated. The basic increases and decreases allow the yarn to undulate, showing off the beauty of both the stitch pattern and the yarn.

The two-row pattern is easy to memorize and easy enough to hold interest but not so complicated that you can’t watch tv or chat with friends while knitting.

The gender neutral design can be either a beanie or slouch, depending on how long you’d like it. And toss on an optional pom and you’ve got a truly fab accessory!
