Peperomia Mini is a seamless, top down raglan sweater for children featuring an organic colorwork motif across the body. The patterning gradually opens up so the contrast color becomes more prominent, creating a soft, natural shift in the fabric.
Hand dyed yarns with gentle speckling or tonality work especially well for this design and highlight the character of the motif.
Video tutorials are included for the seamed bind off and working small circumference colorwork.
Design Details
Peperomia Mini is worked from the top down beginning at the neckline. Raglan increases shape the yoke before the body is worked in the round. The colorwork motif is integrated into the body and transitions into the main color. Sleeves are then worked in the round to the finished length.
Pattern Highlights
- Seamless top down raglan construction
- Organic colorwork body motif
- Video tutorials included
Construction Overview
The sweater begins at the neckline and is worked top down with raglan increases. After the yoke is complete, the body is worked in the round with the colorwork motif. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round to the desired length.
Yarn Notes
The sample uses fingering weight yarn in two colors. Tonal or lightly speckled yarns complement the organic motif particularly well.
