Pepo Pumpkin
Cucurbita Pepo is the technical term for pumpkin, but it also includes several summer squash varieties and is a genus of the gourd family Cucurbitaceae. You learn something new every day! Let’s get started!
Materials:
Yarn: FireFlyFibreArts Bulky yarn, 80/20 superwash merino/nylon, 115g, 140 yards held double to equal a chunky yarn. Any colour can be used, I used Brick for mine.
Needles: 8mm 16” circular, 8mm dpns.
Notions: darning needle, polyfill, stitch marker (optional).
You will also need a small stick or cinnamon stick for the stem.
You can use any chunky yarn as gauge isn’t important for this simple project. It can be any size you like.
