These are a pretty simple design with an intarsia cable thrown in for added interest. They are a quick knit with aran or worsted weight yarn.

When I first learned to spin yarn, I bought small amounts of different fibers in different colors to try out, leaving me with many mini skeins of handpsun yarns. This pattern was designed to use up some of those small amounts of handspun yarn. Or use up some leftovers from another project!

The handpsun mitts are an Adult M due to the density of the yarn while the mitts knit with commercial yarn are an Adult S. You can easily accommodate your handspun yarn of a different wpi by increasing (or decreasing) the size of the mitts by adding (or subtracting) multiples of 4 sts (for k2p2 ribbing)- 2 to the palm and 2 to the back side of the hand between the cable and the thumb.

You can switch the directions of the cable on the left mitt for a mirrored cable.
