All profit made from this pattern will go to my local pet shelter. The are called “les étoiles de bahia” and they help to find family for cats (and sometimes dogs) who can’t stay with their previous owner or are living on the street and they also neutered, feed and look after them.

Technic :

  • Double filet crochet, Interlocking filet crochet – Graph, left-handed and right-handed written instructions.
  • Mosaic, overlay, cut and tie method, - Graph only.

Type : Blanket (I design them as pet blanket but if you attach all 4 squares together it can also be used as a baby blanket)

Yarn, Size and Gauge :
40 by 40 cm per square with a 5 windows by 5 windows per 5 cm gauge.
To match this gauge I used DK (Weight 3) yarn and a 4.5 mm Hook.

  • 170 meters of yarn for each of your two colors, which is a total of 340 meters of yarn.
  • 186 yards per colors, a total of 372 yards of yarn

50 by 50 cm per square with a 4 windows by 4 windows per 5 cm gauge
To match this gauge I used Worsted (Weight 4) yarn and a 4.5 mm Hook.

  • 230 meters of yarn for each of your two colors, which is a total of 460 meters of yarn.
  • 252 yards per colors, a total of 504 yards of yarn

For Mosaic :
With a 9 stitches and 9 rows in 5 cm gauge, each square will be 45 by 45 cm.
To match this gauge I used DK (Weight 3) yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.
