Looking for the perfect accessory to accompany you during the season transitions?
No matter where you are in the world, the Petal Shawl is the perfect shawl to wear during the spring/autumn weather changes. Drape it over your shoulders to keep you warm on crisp spring mornings, or wear it around you neck as a super chunky scarf to keep you toasty during the cold autumn nights.

PATTERN HISTORY
This pattern was originally published in August 2022 and was previously named the ‘Dreamy Petal Shawl’. I decided to re-publish this pattern for release in March 2024 because of numerous imperfections within the original pattern. The original pattern is still available for free on Ravelry, but it is no longer being supported.

This pattern is an Advanced Beginner level crochet pattern. Although it is not necessary, it is helpful to have some experience with C2C (corner to corner) crochet. You will need to understand basic stitch anatomy for this pattern.

This pattern requires any brand of weight 4 yarn (aka; worsted weight, aran weight, 10 ply).

The Petal Shawl was created using MODA VERA Ruffles yarn.

EQUIPMENT
You will need a 5.5mm crochet hook (or hook to match the gauge/tension).
The only addition equipment you’ll need is a pair of scissors, a tape measure and a knitter’s/tapestry needle for sewing in ends.
