Crochet pattern for an African Flower Rabbit, I have shown three ear types, all are included in the pattern. I have also shown some ‘in progress’ pictures. THERE IS A SEPARATE PATTERN FOR THE VEGETABLES AND JACKET IF YOU WOULD LIKE THAT AS WELL PLEASE LOOK THROUGH THE STORE AND ORDER AS AN EXTRA. IT WORKS OUT THE SAME PRICE AS WHEN BOUGHT TOGETHER AND CHEAPER THAN ETSY.

NOTE: This listing is for a digital PDF PATTERN ONLY. This is NOT a finished product. This is a CROCHET PATTERN written in ENGLISH ONLY and uses standard US terms. Refunds are not available on this item.

The finishedRabbit, when worked in 4ply yarn, will measure approximately 8” (20cm) nose to bum 4” (9cm) high. This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension. For a larger one work in double knit, aran or chunky.

I used Scheepjes Catona yarn. Approximately 45g of Caramel (506) and 20g of Snow White (106) plus a scrap of a darker brown for the nose.
2mm crochet hook to keep the tension tight, and prevent the stuffing from showing.
Scissors, dressmakers pins, a darning needle, long upholstery needle, stitch markers, 12mm safety eyes and poly fill stuffing.
You can use any 4 ply/8ply/double knit/light worsted weight yarn you fancy. You can obviously use any colours or brand you fancy but the results will be different. You can make this in most yarn, even aran, but please use the smallest hook you can manage as this will stop the stuffing from showing.. The size and appearance of the end result will obviously differ. Mercerised cotton yarn prevents too much stretch so helps to reduce the visibility of the stuffing through the holes. Plus it isn’t fluffy so the pattern of the African Flower shape shows more clearly.
Abbreviations (US terms)
sc = single crochet dc = double crochet hdc = half double crochet tr = treble crochet

This pattern is relatively easy to follow but does require basic crochet knowledge of single, double and treble crochet and the ability to work a magic ring. Everything is easily learnt from Youtube if you are not 100% sure. It is written in US terms but easily converted to UK terms. There are full instructions of how to make the shapes required and a free guide on how to crochet for beginners.

It is worked in African Flower shapes with instructions in written form with lots of photographs and handy hints to follow for assembly.
