Petunia was created as a random act of kindness for a fellow member on Ravelry.

Because Petunia started as a random act of kindness I offer the pattern for free.

I love how my test knitters were inspired and created their unique versions of Petunia the zipper monster.

Petunia, is knitted in the round, from bottom to top. It uses three needle bind off. The arms are knitted separately and sewn on. The inside of the mouth is knitted separately and sewn inside. The zipper is sewn to the two layers creating zipped mouth.

Finished Toy size: approximately 10” (25cm) tall.
Yarn: You will need two colors approximately 90 yards each in medium weight yarn. Approximately 15 yards of red yarn and small amount of white yarn, colored and black yarn for the eyes.
For my Petunia I have used Caron Simply Soft.
Notions:
Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker, polyester fiberfill (1 small bag), one zipper 7” (18cm) long, and if preferred use safety eyes instead of knitting them.
