This cowl is worked in one of 2 sizes from a knitted cast on. Once the desired length is reached the cowl is cast off and the 2 edges sewn together. Alternately, a provisional cast on can be used and the edges woven together with the Kitchener stitch.

2 sizes are shwon in the pattern. A longer cowl wil require additional yarn. The cowl is worked in 4 different yarns, from laceweight to fingering to DK. Worsted weight could also be used, with larger needles.

This is considered intermediate in difficulty, since the stitch count does not remain constant.
