These patterns teach you how to create a sweet picot trim while perfecting your knitting “in the round” technique. To knit both projects, you will need approximately 2 skeins of wool in your main colour and a half skein of wool in each of colours 2 and 3 (based on a 4 oz/110 g skein of wool (appx 224 m/245 yd). I knit the toque and hat in the photo using Sweet Paprika’s Dorset-based down wool, available through our website under the tab “Wool”.

Knit using 4.5mm (US #7) straight & double pointed needles with a medium weight (#4) wool (appx 137 m per 100 gm/150 yds per 3.5 oz skein to achieve a gauge of approximately 18 stitches and 26 rows to a 10 cm (4”) square when knit in a stockinette stitch. The mittens and toque pictured were knit with Sweet Paprika’s Dorset-based down wool.
