Pie for Dinner is an easy, pie-shaped (triangle) shawl. Some may call it a scarf because of its length.

This #OneSkeinWonder is a pretty fast knit and doesn’t take up much room in a purse. It would be perfect for those random, single-lady skeins you don’t quite know what to do with. It’s lightweight and is great on a cooler summer evening or under a winter coat to keep the chill off your neck.

Yarn: Approximately 400 yards of a sock / fingering weight. It looks nice in speckled, solid, variegated, or gradient. Size 6 needles give it a nice drape.

Need to know: K = Knit; P = Purl; Kfb = Knit front and back of same stitch; K2tog = Knit two stitches together; Reverse stockinette; Picking up stitches.

It is easily memorizable and there are helpful tables to keep track of stitch counts. (I used my needles to poke holes in the pattern to keep track of what rows were completed!)

Finished measurements: Approximately 24” / 61 cm at its widest (top), 72” / 183 cm in length. Measurements taken after blocking. As gauges and blocking methods vary, a tighter knitter will have a smaller finished piece.

Want to make it in WORSTED weight? 400 yards worsted weight / size US 10 needles (for a nice drape). Knit to 73 stitches instead of 83 stitches (explained in the pattern). Size after blocking is 72” x 21.5”. (I’m a loose knitter so yours might not be as big. You could also use a size US 9 needle to have it a bit smaller.)
