Piece by Piece Baby Blanket
The Piece by Piece Baby Blanket is a joyful way to turn leftover yarn into something truly special. Designed with simple garter stitch and playful mosaic knitting, it’s an engaging project that looks far more intricate than it really is. Mosaic knitting makes colourwork easy and fun, since you only ever work with one colour per row.
This blanket can be made with as few as two colours, or as many as your yarn basket allows—the more, the merrier! The sample shown uses nine shades, creating a cheerful, geometric design that’s full of personality. Finished off with an optional crochet edge for a sweet touch, the blanket measures approximately 70 x 90 cm.
Knit in worsted weight 100% merino wool, it works up soft, squishy, and warm—the perfect gift for a little one. The pattern includes both written instructions and a chart, making it accessible for knitters who enjoy either style.
