Pillar to post is a shawl which can convert to a poncho, shrug, cardigan, scarf depending on how you button it. The stitches used are treble (or US double) and double (us single) and front post stitches give a simple effective detail. This shawl measures approx 150x52cm.

I made this poncho upcycling the yarn from a thrift/charity shop cardigan, and the weight of the yarn is 30g to 100m. The yarn mix I used here is - cotton, silk, linen and the nearest match I could find on ravelry is a Colourmart fingering. I think it would work well with any silk or viscose mix.

The patterns are in chart format, yarn, hook, and finished dimensions are up to the crochet-er, so its a very flexible pattern.
