Pink Warriors Crochet Throw
This pretty and cozy blanket is made with the Wattle Stitch, a very beginner friendly stitch because it’s constructed by combining a single crochet, chain 1, and double crochet. This combination creates both lovely texture and visual interest as well as a solid, reversible fabric with beautiful drape. It’s a simple and relatively mindless stitch making it ideal for both the crochet novice and the experienced crocheter looking for an easy project to relax and unwind with. It also works up relatively quickly which is always a plus. The color and name of the blanket are in honor of my friends and family (and of course all other women) who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer. However, if you’re looking for a different color combination other than pink this pattern would work up beautifully in whatever color palette you prefer.
The pattern includes pictures for clarification and links for video tutorials as well in case you need a little extra help, or if you’re a visual learner.
This pattern is written in English and uses US terms.
Finished blanket is approximately 50” x 66” (127cm x 167.6cm)
Materials info:
Size H (5.mm) hook
4/medium weight yarn, 3 skeins of each color (355 yds per skein, or 3,195 total yds), 100% acrylic
