The Pixie Dust hat adds a little sparkle to your classic winter cap. Knit from the bottom up in the round, this worsted weight hat is divided into 6 sections. Stacked columns that alternate between slipped and beaded stitches separate these areas. Never beaded before? Have no fear! Detailed step-by-step instructions are included in the Techniques section. The Pixie Dust culminates at the top in a shimmery spiral pattern. I used a tweed yarn with multi-color flecks, highlighting the different hues with four different shades of seed beads, but you could easily knit this hat in a solid wool with a single color of beads.
